Indiana Hoosiers needed to redefine who they are. What team was going to take the field after suffering an old fashion butt kicking the week before from those Buckeyes. In a post game interview coach Allen said the leaders of the team really stepped up this week in practice. They got their minds and attitudes right and went to work. Determined to put last weeks game behind them and concentrate on the task at hand, "Beat UConn"! Thats exactly what IU did in every aspect of the game. A well balanced attack on both sides of the ball. Allowing only 3 points the entire game. Defensively they held Uconn to a total of 51 rushing yards and 90 passing. Sophomore LB #4 Cam Jones had his first career 44 yard INT pick six. Offensively the Hoosier's QB Peyton Ramsey had great day of 23/27 247 total yards, 3 TD's and 1 INT. Game buster running running back Stevie Scott III had 97 yds on 21 carries for average of 4.6 yds per carry. Receiving honors went to #1 Whoop Philyor WR for 47 yds, an 1TD, while #3 Ty Fryfogle added 47 yrds to the day followed by Peyton Hendershot for 43 yds & 1 TD. #15 Nick Westbrook had a productive day with 32 yds & 1 TD averaging 16 yds per catch. The 38-3 victory for the Hosier's was exactly what the players needed and what the caochs's hoped for. There was no let down today on either side of the ball coach Allen stated. From special teams and all we did exactly what we needed to do, WIN BIG! This was a team we were suppose to beat and dominate and that's exactly what we did! Coach Allen was very proud of his guys. Not just because they won, but what it took for them to dig down a rally together as a team. Coach Allen said we now need to focus on getting ready for Michigan State Spartans as BIG10 play now begins.
