The journalist's question focused their interrogation as regard of the recent dramatic energy rising price, and the Sauve Report, delivered by the French Council fo State, amid the pedophilia in the Church...When it comes to nuclear energy, and the rise of the price of energy, President Macron answered " it's too early today to tell. We all face a sharply rising energy price. You have seen the announcements made by the Government and the decisions taken by the Prime Minister which are a response in terms of purchasing power for our compatriots, who are today subject to these increases in the price of gas and electricity. There is a lot of technical work involved because you know that in particular France is less dependent than others on the price of fossil fuels because of our nuclear power"...He added that " Nevertheless, there is a formation of the European price and it is true that today we can clearly see that electricity, and more broadly energy, is a subject of the world market and a geopolitical subject. So work is underway at the European Commission which will make it possible to see in the coming days our capacity to act in common and therefore to supplement the measures which are now taken at national level. But I think that we must above all, in the long term, draw all the consequences of these situations and never be too dependent on an energy resource which may appear attractive when prices are low, but which exposes us to sudden surges when there is either a racing market or geopolitical choices being made." IT IS THE PRICE OF GAS THAT WILL BE OVER- DETERMINING IN FIXING THE PRICE OF ELECTRICITY PDT MACRON SAID "These are technical formulas which are not obvious, but indeed, it is one of the tracks since today, I do not want to be too technical, but the price of our electricity is overdetermined by the marginal price of the electricity. energy you need to fix it. And so even if you have an installed base which is renewable and nuclear, if you need, to end the month if I may say so, a little gas, it is the price of gas that will be overdetermining in fixing the price of electricity. Afterwards, the answers are technical in the formation of the prices but we are not ripe on this subject. They are also in our capacity to store. I think they are part of our medium-term strategy between Europeans. We have to integrate this factor when we have our carbon exit strategy and our common plans made." President Macro said as he answered a journalist;s question over the mechanism of de-correlation of the price of gas and electricity? "THE WESTERN BALAN ARE IN EUROPE, JUST LOOK AT THE MAP " PDT MACRON SAID---------------------------- In the light of Enlarging Europe by including new countries form Balkan area, President Macron answered : We had a very good discussion today on the Balkans and the prospects for enlargement. There are still very complicated situations today. Between several countries, the Serbia-Kosovo, Belgrade-Pristina discussion remains very complex and tense. We had a long time with the two leaders this morning and the Chancellor. There are also discussions today that have returned to the front of the table between North Macedonia and Bulgaria, as you know. So, we have to move forward on this subject. But our wish is really to be able to restore short-term prospects to the Balkans, which are within Europe. The Western Balkans are in Europe, just look at a map. But, today, we have in a way a return of history and great tensions. We must respond to it with political commitment and also investment to allow the greatest commercial and human integration in the region and finally to have a policy and a common approach on the treatment of minorities, which is a subject that travels throughout the region." He then added as he answered the question whether enlarging Europe : Listen, I think the European Union has two main challenges; there are many others when we look at all the questions, but on an institutional level, we must both expand to our borders and have a discussion with our neighborhood, in particular Russia and Turkey. And at the same time, we have to deeply transform our common functioning because it is already very heavy at 27, you can see it well.
