FBI, Grants Police Department Seek 'Black Cap Bandit' Who Robbed Bank

USPA NEWS - The FBI and Grants Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the “Black Cap Bandit,” who is responsible for a bank robbery on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
At approximately 2:22 p.m., an unknown male entered Wells Fargo, 201 N. 1st Street, in Grants. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The robber received an undisclosed sum of money and left the bank.

Suspect’s Description:

Sex: Male
Race: Native American
Age: Mid-20s
Height: 5'7” to 5'9”
Weight: Approximately 160 pounds
Clothing: The suspect wore a black baseball cap with an unknown white logo on the front, a black sweater, a light-colored surgical mask, blue jeans, and black shoes.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (505) 889-1300 or tips.fbi.gov.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
