Real Madrid presents new coach Rafa Benitez

For three seasons

USPA NEWS - Rafael Benitez was introduced Wednesday as the new coach of Real Madrid. Benitez signed three-year contract and returns to the club where he was a player and coach, this time as head of the first team.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said during the presentation of the new coach Rafa Benitez is "one of the best in the world and a true man of the house". Benitez is the first Spanish coach heading to Real Madrid for six years: in the 2009-10 season was coach Manuel Pellegrini; in the 2010-13 season it was the Portuguese Jose Mourinho and the 2013-15 campaigns, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti. Benitez returns to the Spanish League eleven years after leaving Valencia, with whom he won two league titles (2002 and 2004) and UEFA Cup (2004).
From Valencia he went to Liverpool. In the English team was six years and achieved the 'reds' they won, after 34 years, the Champions League. In 2010 he signed for Inter Milan team that won the World Cup. After two years without training, he joined Chelsea, with whom he won the Champions League. The last two seasons led to Napoli, winning a Cup and Super Cup.

"I want to thank to my work I trust you have placed in me," then he added in the subsequent press conference. "It's a special day, very exciting. Back to this house was one of the goals," insisted Benitez, who said he felt "full circle." Benitez made no secret that coach Real Madrid "is challenging" but said his "approach is to enjoy a great team, very professional."
On his working method, the new coach of Real Madrid moved that wants "a competitive team" to mark goals and win games. "I will try to make the most of these players," he replied when asked about the difficulty of managing a team full of stars. "Madrid playing well and I always like to win," he said before explaining that "our working method is to train 80% of the time with ball and 20% without it" to get an "aggressive" team. He did not say but it is an open secret is that joins Real Madrid in order to regain title after a blank year.
