USPA NEWS - Spain welcomes these days the Trident Juncture 2015, an exercise in high visibility of NATO in which around 36,000 troops from more than 30 nations with the aim to train and certify the NRF 2016, a force of high availability and technologically prepared participate.
Spain, one of the host countries for the exercise, providing 8,000 troops and eight scenarios. The exercise will take place in two phases: from 3 to October 16 was held the CPX (Command Post Exercise) phase and from 21 October to 6 November the LIVEX (Live Exercise) phase develops. For # TJ15 has established a theater unreal, 'Stage Sorotan', which will take place also fictitious conflict between countries in the Horn of Africa. The aggressor country, Kamon, Lakuta invade and Tytan be under threat. In this case, it tested NATO combat operations, control of territory, stabilization and resolution of humanitarian crisis.
In the context of this exercise in high visibility, Trident Juncture 15 held this November 4 in the area of San Gregorio maneuvers in the province of Zaragoza (Spain center) with a demonstration of the capacity of the Force Land Component Rapid Reaction NATO, provided by Spain with forces of NATO Headquarters in Valencia Betera. It was attended, among other invited guests, the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg; the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, General Petr Pavel; Ambassadors Permanent Representatives to the Council of the Organization of the North Atlantic Member States and the Ambassadors of the NATO partners who have participated in the exercise countries.
The Trident Juncture 15 mobilized over 36,000 troops from 30 countries, of which 20,000 have been deployed in Spanish territory. The exercise, the actual phase, actual movement of troops has been developed since last October 21 in different parts of the Spanish territory, has tested the responsiveness and interoperability of Allied capabilities in situations of complex crises and allowed to certify the General Land Component Command Headquarters. The exercise also served to demonstrate the preparation of the NATO Headquarters and Headquarters in Betera land component command of the Joint Force NATO Very High Availability (VJTF) in 2106, at the time it reaches its full operational capability.
