USPA NEWS - The President of the Republic received today Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan. He carries out, on his invitation, an official visit to France from November 4 to 6. During their talks, the two heads of state called for the adoption at the COP21 in Paris, of an ambitious agreement.

The President of the Republic received today Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan. He carries out, on his invitation, an official visit to France from November 4 to 6.------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During their talks, the two heads of state called for the adoption at the COP21 in Paris, of an ambitious agreement. They reiterated their common will to contribute to calming the situation in the east of Ukraine by continuing their complementary mediation efforts between Ukraine and Russia. They also reaffirmed their determination to act against terrorism. The two Presidents also worked to strengthen the strategic partnership between France and Kazakhstan. They notably discussed the priority areas of energy, aeronautics and space.The following documents were signed in presence of the two heads of state:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - A joint statement by the Secretary of State for Higher Education and Research and the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - The contract of participation of France in the international exhibition EXPO-2017 Astana------------------------------------------ - Cooperation between the National Space Studies Centre and Kazakh space agency Kazcosmos- Elysee Palace.
