Prosecution and defense requests for exemption from the sister of King Philip VI

USPA NEWS - The anti-corruption prosecutor and the defense of the Infanta Cristina of Bourbon requested Monday at the start of the open trial for the alleged diversion of 6.2 million of public money, which exonerated the sister of King Philip VI.

The prosecutor and the defense asked for the annulment of the indictment against the Infanta Cristina of Bourbon, since neither the prosecution nor the tax office and only the incriminating union Clean Hands accused of being cooperative needed in the crimes committed by her husband, former international handball player Inaki Urdangarin. The first day of trial was devoted to the solution of preliminary issues. The view will continue on February 9 and, unless otherwise agreed between the parties, is expected to last at least six months. Alongside Urdangarin and his partner are accused former Prime Minister of the Balearic Islands, Jaume Matas, and a senior official of the Spanish Royal Family.
