USPA NEWS - The Office of the AFP was held from January 28 to 30, 2016 in Siem Reap (Cambodia) at the invitation of Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, who honored his presence the opening ceremony.

THIRTY MPS FROM 4 CONTINENTS OF FRANCOPHONE ASSEMBLY MEETING CHAIRED BY AUBIN MINAKU Thirty Francophone Parliamentarians from the four continents attended the meeting, chaired by Mr. Aubin Minaku, President of the APF, President of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The opening ceremony was marked by several speeches, including that of Mr Aubin Minaku, who called for "unity" and "stability" against the terrorist threat, and Mr. Pascal Terrasse, Secretary general parliamentary, which highlighted the involvement of three Asian sections of the APF, fruit of their desire "to be part of the francophone and ensure development." in his speech, Mr. Heng Samrin as to him emphasized the role that the APF should play as "guardian of solidarity and cooperation within the great family of French-speaking countries." Mr. Adama Ouane, after hearing and exchanged with the Administrator of the OIF, and the Bureau including adopted, at its Parliamentary Secretary General Pascal Terrasse, MP (France), actions of programming for 2016 Parliamentary cooperation APF. A broad discussion was held on the measures to be implemented to ensure the safety of these actions, notably following the attack in Bamako, in November 2015, which befell the institution. The Bureau approved the principle of partnership with IPEMED, UNDP and the Pan-African Parliament. It also heard a statement by the President of the National Assembly of Madagascar, Jean-Max Rakotomamonjy on the preparation of the 42nd Session of the APF to be held in July 2016 in Antananarivo.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE FRANCOPHONE BUREAU ADOPTED 5 STATEMENTS ABOUT THE SYRIAN ARAB SITUATION The Bureau members discussed the political situations in the Francophone and adopted five statements on the Syrian Arab Republic, the Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, Burundi and Haiti. The power to preventively was the observation that the Burkina Faso particular object was lifted following the successful conduct of presidential and legislative elections of November 2015.
