USPA NEWS - Jean-Marc Ayrault, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Mr. Ali Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, his Djibouti counterpart. On the occasion of this first contact, the ministers discussed relations, dense, between France & Djibouti, the domestic political situation in Djibouti and Terrorism.

Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, met today with Mr. Ali Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, his Djibouti counterpart. On the occasion of this first contact, the ministers discussed relations, dense, between France and Djibouti, the domestic political situation in Djibouti, and major regional issues.------------------------------------------ Jean-Marc Ayrault reiterated the support that France provides the security and development of Djibouti, an important partner in a troubled region. They discussed the situation between Djibouti and Eritrea, including mediation, useful, of the State of Qatar, which has obtained the release of prisoners of war who were held in Djibouti by Asmara.------------------------------------ Jean-Marc Ayrault praised the commitment of Djibouti in the fight against terrorism in Somalia. The two ministers an update on the peace process in Yemen, as well as on the issue of Yemeni refugees hosted in Djibouti.--------------------------------------- Regarding the internal situation, the two ministers discussed the political climate, as the elections approach, and the importance of dialogue for a peaceful situation.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Andre Vallini, Secretary of State for Development and Francophony, will also meet Mr Ali Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, with whom he will discuss all the resources that France is implementing to support the work of the service Djibouti social and economic development.
