USPA NEWS - FIGRA, International Festival of News Reporting & society documentary press organised a conference to unveils the 2016 edition. It was founded by George Bouaret twenty three years ago. It is held in Le Bouquet, Normandy, March 30 to April 3. The programming of this 23th edition unveils the selection

OFFICIAL SELECTION OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION, MORE THAN 40 MINUTES The programming of this 23th edition remains true to its original commitment to show and to understand, to better understand oneself and the world.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eighteen major news reports and documentaries presented company. These films are a watching the world, at a sensitive time, during an investigation of a crisis or a particular inquiry. They describe difficult situations, transformed live complicated and dangerous investigations. We understand better, crossing all eyes, the essential place occupied by journalists, international reporters and documentary filmmakers in the knowledge chain and citizen information.

THE JURY COMPOSITION Jury President is Jean-Paul Mari, journalist, director, animator of the blog "Grands Reporters" with Kristen Davis, IT director at the New York International Times, Emmanuel François, director, producer at Brotherfilms, Juliette Meurin, journalist, member the commission of journalists SCAM, Alain Mingam, journalist, curator, director and member of the executive bureau of "Reporters Without Borders". The jury will award the "Grand Prix Figra", the "Special Jury Prize", sponsored by the Regional Council NPDC-Picardie, the "Prix Olivier Quemener / RSF" * sponsored by "Reporters Without Borders" for humanitarian values “‹“‹and human rights and SCAM price of Investigation **. The young jury award the Youth Jury Prize sponsored by the Regional Nord-Pas de Calais council. The audience award for her vote the Audience Award, sponsored by the Friends of FIGRA. The Jury Prize Aïna Roger ESJ Lille - Figra *** award its prize to a first work, after the official selection. *** In 2016, the award from the ESJ Lille changes its name and becomes the price Aïna Roger ESJ Lille - Figra, in tribute to Roger Aina (see p.28) ** Since 2015, the festival partner since SCAM many years, decided to sponsor the "Prize of the MACC investigation" FIGRA, marking his interest in these works. Price * Olivier Quemener / RSF RSF sponsors the award, created to honor the memory of this French journalist killed in 1994 in the Casbah of Algiers.
