USPA NEWS - Before the second round of the FIA World Championship at the capital Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates (4th ““ 11th of April), the Lotto Team was preparing the last 10 day´s in Dubai together with Andreas Schultz, two-time winner of the Dakar.
Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge is one of the toughest rally in the world competition. The rally has a length of almost 2,000 kilometers and is divided into five stages. Climate entire event adds temperature, which is as high as 40 degrees Celsius.
For the Lotto Team participated in Abu Dhabi will be a double debut. Firstly Martin Kaczmarski and his pilot Bartosz Boba will compete for the first time in this difficult and demanding rally. Secondly, this will be their first start with a brand new car Toyota Hilux Overdrive 2012.

We go to Abu Dhabi to gather experience, knowledge about the route and the possibilities of our new car. We want first of all to get information on what else we need to work - says Martin Kaczmarski driver of the Lotto Team. At this stage the most important thing for us is the ability to participate in this rally, which brings together the best drivers of the world, adds Martin Kaczmarski. Already after the first two day´s of the rally, the Lotto Team show their capabilities: 8th position in the overall results, only losing 4 ½ minute to the 6th position. - Today's episode showed that nothing can be certain, buried in the dunes, we ran into a huge funnel, fortunately, as far as we were able to smoothly move ,it felt like I was flying above the clouds - says Martin Kaczmarski.
