King Philip VI signs the Book of Condolences in the US Embassy in Madrid

For the victims of Orlando

USPA NEWS - King Philip VI of Spain and Queen Letizia went to the residence of the ambassador of the United States of America in Madrid to sign the book of condolences and express the ambassador, James Costs, his condolences.
Also King express his "support and solidarity" to the people of the United States, by the tragic multiple shooting attack in Orlando, FL on the night of June 12. Philip VI and Queen Letizia asked the ambassador Costs to convey the wounded and their families, on behalf of the Spanish people, their most sincere wishes for recovery. On Monday, June 13, the King sent a telegram of condolences to President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, in which he moved his condolences for the events of Orlando and condemned "in the strongest terms" the attack, "contrary to all principles" of democratic coexistence, and he reaffirmed the "commitment" of Spain collaboration with US.
Full transcript of the text of the King Philip VI in the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of the United States of America: “Deeply shocked by the attack in Orlando, Florida, we share the pain of the Government and People of the United States to so much death and injury so great that they have suffered; an attack against life, peaceful coexistence and values of democracy. The unity and cooperation will always be the best way for those who want peace, democracy and respect for human rights defeat terror and achieve any form of totalitarian ideology. All our affection and solidarity, especially for the victims and their families.“
